We are proud to introduce our September Cure Champions, the 2026 Party with 1 Purpose Family Honorees, the Batchelor Family. Jeremy, Brianna, Jackson, Wyatt, and Estelle Batchelor are a family that shows up for each other — on the sidelines, in the stands, and wherever life takes them. Cheering each other on is practically a family motto, and their kids keep them busy in all the best ways.
At the center of that energy is Jackson, an active, determined 11-year-old with a love for every sport he tries. Whether he’s on the football field or the soccer pitch, he plays with everything he’s got. Football has become his greatest passion — he was named his team’s MVP — while club soccer keeps pushing him to grow. His leadership, determination, and positive attitude come through in everything he takes on.
Jackson was just three years old when he was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (T1D). In a single morning, the Batchelor family’s life changed. Finger sticks, insulin, carb counting, sleepless nights, and the constant balancing act of managing an autoimmune disease became part of their everyday rhythm. T1D became part of their daily lives — but it has never defined who Jackson is.
Over the past eight years, Jackson has shown a level of courage that has taught his family more about strength than they ever thought possible. Watching him meet each day with confidence and perseverance has inspired not just his parents and siblings, but everyone who knows him.
From the moment of his diagnosis, the Batchelors knew they wanted to be part of something bigger than themselves. For nearly eight years, they have proudly supported Breakthrough T1D through fundraising, advocacy, and raising awareness — helping advance research toward better treatments, and ultimately, a cure.
We are so grateful to the Batchelor family for their years of dedication to our mission. Their commitment, rooted in love for Jackson and hope for every family facing T1D, brings us one step closer to a world where T1D is a thing of the past.
