Now 13, Jacob has spent nearly a decade growing up alongside Jacob\u2019s Justice League\u2014a team created in his honor and powered by love, determination, and hope.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen Jacob was diagnosed, we didn\u2019t know anyone else living with type 1 diabetes,\u201d Stacy shares. \u201cIt felt isolating and overwhelming.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That began to change when their family found <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breakthrought1d.org\/\">Breakthrough T1D<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.breakthrought1d.org\/site\/SPageServer?pagename=walk_homepage&amp;_stellarVisitorId=visitor_17823987440480.18036150912420867\">Breakthrough T1D Walk<\/a>. What started as a way to take action quickly became a source of connection and strength.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBreakthrough T1D has created a community in a journey that can often feel isolating,\u201d Stacy says. \u201cNow, Jacob is surrounded by people who truly understand what daily life with T1D looks like.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Each year, Stacy leads Jacob\u2019s Justice League as team captain, bringing together family, friends, and supporters who walk in honor of Jacob and everyone living with T1D. For the past 10 years, the Walk has become more than a tradition\u2014it\u2019s a powerful reminder that they are not alone.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor our family, participating in the Walk every year is a day where Jacob feels supported in his daily battle,\u201d Stacy shares. \u201cIt\u2019s where our community comes together to fuel hope and drive change.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The impact of that commitment is undeniable.
