The Nevada Chapter is thrilled to announce our new Volunteer of the Month program – sponsored by our community partners at Raising Cane’s. Each month we will highlight one of our fabulous chapter volunteers and that volunteer will receive gift cards for free meals from Raising Cane’s.

Introducing our first Volunteer of the Month – Georgia Sallows

Georgia has been volunteering once a week in our office for the past several months. She has jumped in to assist with a variety of tasks for the Breakthrough T1D One Walk, the TypeOneNation Summit, and the Hope Gala.

She is motivated volunteer with Breakthrough T1D because the “organization is working to achieve a better life experience for children like her granddaughter, Charley, who has T1D.”

Georgia, like many volunteers, brings past administrative and organizational experience to share but also brings a willingness to dive in wherever needed to help. Understanding the importance of volunteering to support the organizations she believes in, she also spends her time volunteering at her granddaughter’s school and Heaven Can Wait.

Thank you to Georgia and all our other wonderful volunteers!
