Make this November about T1D Awareness, Education and Action

Join Breakthrough T1D for November during National Diabetes Awareness Month and show the world what type 1 diabetes (T1D) looks like. Last year nearly 90,000 people flooded the internet with #T1DLooksLikeMe photos, raising awareness and showing the diverse group of people living with, impacted by, or committed to a cure for T1D.
This year join Breakthrough T1D and educate your friends and followers on the 24/7 burden and management needs of T1D:
Customize and Share a T1D Footprint – Whether you are living with T1D or have a friend or loved one who is, the world needs to be educated on the 24/7 management needs and burden of this disease. Your T1D Footprint shows that though this disease may be “invisible”, it’s impact on our lives is not. T1D can’t stop us, it just makes every step of our journey even more impressive.
Listen to T1D Stories – Breakthrough T1D teamed up with Beta Cell for a special four-part T1D Looks Like Me podcast series released every Monday starting November 7. Starting at a new school, navigating adulthood and playing professional sports are all challenging enough on their own but add T1D in the mix, and things can become even more challenging. Join host Craig Stubing as he walks through life with T1D with guests Greg and Kristina Dooley, Jessie Bear, Will Pericak, Jordan Morris and Breakthrough T1D’s Chief Mission Officer Aaron Kowalski.
Share T1D Realities – Advances in technology over the past few decades has made life with T1D less burdensome which means sometimes people don’t understand the impact T1D has on everyday life. The realities for people living with T1D are often much different than for those who don’t have the disease. Read and share the T1D realities on social media with your friends and followers.
