Diabetes Caregiver Class at Scottish Rite

Everyone who takes care of a child with T1D needs to know the basics of managing it, and CHOA’s Diabetes Caregiver Class shows them how. This class is for grandparents, babysitters, friends, school teachers and daycare providers. Cost is $30 per person. The class lasts four to five hours and covers topics such as how to give insulin, count carbohydrates, test blood sugar, test for ketones and help a child stay active safely.
