As we embrace the start of a new year, we also celebrate the return of our Ride to Cure Diabetes program! In 2017, join us in pedaling forward towards finding a cure for Type 1 Diabetes.

The Breakthrough T1D Ride to Cure Diabetes is comprised of destination bike rides arranged around the country. They offer the chance for novice to advanced cyclists to experience riding in different terrains, take in the beautiful scenery, have lots of fun while challenging themselves and ultimately contribute by fundraising to the fight against Type 1 Diabetes. The money raised will go towards funding critical research across the globe in support of our mission: to accelerate life-changing breakthroughs to cure, prevent and treat T1D and its complications.

The Breakthrough T1D Ride isn’t just a bike ride: it’s where hundreds of riders come together from all over the world to make new friendships, experience the unparalleled camaraderie of the Ride community and raise money to find a cure for T1D.

The 2016 Ride season was absolutely incredible -nearly 2,000 riders raised over $8 million dollars! The Amelia Island, Florida ride was the largest-ever Breakthrough T1D Peer-to-Peer Fundraising event, with Riders raising nearly $3 million dollars for Breakthrough T1D and T1D research!!!

The 2017 season stands to be another fantastic year with the inclusion of two new rides in Colorado and Saratoga Springs. Registration for all 5 ride destinations opens on Wednesday, January 18th at 12pm EST. To register on or after the 18th, please visit the Ride to Cure Diabetes website at  https://ride.jdrf.org.  For more information on the program and rides, visit the website at https://ride.jdrf.org or contact Christina Cimino, Development Manager for Ride and Signature Events, at the Eastern PA chapter office by emailing ccimino@BreakthroughT1D.org or calling 610-227-0371.
