Breakthrough T1D One Walk Wildwood NEW LOCATION and walk updates

This Spring, the Breakthrough T1D One Walk will take place in Wildwood! New this year, the walk will be held at Morey’s Mariner’s Pier! Walk with us and help us put an end to T1D.

By joining Breakthrough T1D One Walk you’ll support breakthroughs that get us closer to a cure—and provide hope to the millions affected by this disease. As the largest T1D event in the world, it’s also an amazing experience to be a part of.

What to expect on Walk Day?
Making Walk Day a special experience, our new families will receive a complimentary One Walk draw-string back pack in our “Welcome New Families” tent. Our heroes living with T1D receive a “I am Breakthrough T1D” bandana. Plus,  every registered walker who raises $75 or more under their name on their fundraising website by walk day will receive a complimentary wristband, good for Morey’s Piers AND Raging Waters Water Park on Walk Day! Those raising $100 or more receive the wristband and a Breakthrough T1D One Walk T-shirt.
Be a Walk V1P! Every registered walker that raises $1,000 or more by walk day will be recognized as a Walk V1P! All V1Ps will receive an exclusive Breakthrough T1D lanyard and Swag Bag so everyone knows you’re a V1P!
Walk Day has something for everybody – whether a new or returning team! From entertainment to advocacy, opportunities to meet and mingle with other families and vendors, while enjoying family friendly activities with your loved ones.

Since the Breakthrough T1D One Walk registration opened, we have had 64 Team register and have raised over $35,000 so far! Register early and get a jump start on your fundraising! You also want to register early so you receive all of our communications announcing important updates, give-a-ways and contests!

 

 Here’s how you can get started helping Breakthrough T1D turn Type One into Type None:

  1. Sign up to be a One Walk Team Captain and register your team or join an existing team.
  2. Set recruitment and fundraising goals for your team. Breakthrough T1D Staff is available to meet with you to brainstorm fundraising ideas and help you reach your goals.
  3. Recruit, recruit, recruit! Get everyone you know to join your team and make a donation.
  4. Be a coach and cheerleader, and show your team how to be successful at their own personal Walk goals
  5. Walk!
