There’s still time to join the Eastern PA Breakthrough T1D Ride to Cure Diabetes Team for our 2019 Season! We have four great locations for you to choose from:

La Crosse, Wisconsin: August 8-11, 2019

La Crosse, Wisconsin, is a historic, vibrant city with a flair for the old and a sprinkle of the new. Nestled between the bluffs of Wisconsin and the Mississippi River, riders will navigate a course that starts in La Crosse and crosses three states, two bridges and one mighty river.

Nestled in the heart of the country, the relatively flat route makes this one of our most family- friendly rides that’s also perfect for beginners. And, the scenic views and charm of downtown La Crosse make it memorable for all.

Saratoga Springs, New York: September 12-15, 2019

Located 25 miles north of Albany, NY, in the southernmost foothills of the Adirondack Region, Saratoga Springs combines the quaintness of New England with the beauty of upstate New York. Easily accessible by plane, train or automobile, this Ride will feature some of the most scenic roads in the northeast just as the fall foliage begins to turn. This Breakthrough T1D-only Ride will offer multiple route options ranging from 32 to 100 miles.

Amelia Island, Florida: October 3-6, 2019

The Amelia Island Ride to Cure Diabetes will feature the best of the coastal South. Flat roads, Spanish Moss and ocean views are just a few of the highlights that will welcome riders to this beautiful location. Starting out with a northerly spin through the island, riders will experience the scenic roads through Fernandina Beach. A turn south will take the ride off the island and down Highway A1A, with beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean. Multiple route options will be available for riders of all abilities and the views and roadways are sure to make this a memorable ride for all!

Death Valley, California: October 17-20, 2019

Located in southern California, Death Valley is one of the most otherworldly of America’s natural wonders—an eerie panorama of salt flats and elevations. With rolling hills and steep mountains, Death Valley is also famous for Badwater, which is the lowest point in the Western Hemisphere. Whether you’re a competitive cyclist, Sunday rider or novice, you’re sure to enjoy an incredible weekend—and the haunting beauty—that brings Breakthrough T1D Riders back year after year to cycle up to 100 miles.

About Breakthrough T1D Ride to Cure Diabetes

Breakthrough T1D Ride to Cure Diabetes is a charitable bike ride that raises money for type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. Breakthrough T1D Ride gives new and experienced cyclists—and their friends and families—the opportunity to fundraise for life-changing T1D research along with the entire Ride community.

Participants choose from one of five Ride locations, train with their local coach to achieve their mileage goals (no matter how long or short) and use guidance from their local chapters to meet and exceed their fundraising commitments.

Breakthrough T1D Ride isn’t just a bike ride: it’s an experience where hundreds of riders come together from all over the world to make new friendships, enjoy the unparalleled camaraderie of the Ride community and raise money to find a cure for T1D.

If you have any questions about our ride program, please feel free to reach out to Teresa at tdickens@BreakthroughT1D.org or 610-227-0358.
