In the 20 years since, Hilary has served as a Breakthrough T1D Junior Ambassador and volunteer, while her mother, Sherry, has served as a board member for the Eastern Pennsylvania chapter. Hilary and her family remain deeply committed to Breakthrough T1D&#8217;s mission and fundraising for life-changing and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breakthrought1d.org\/explore-research\/\">lifesaving T1D research<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This year, at the 2023 One Dream Gala, Hilary returns to the ballroom to address her experience living with T1D. In sharing the disease\u2019s resulting impact on her mental health, she reflects on the coping strategies and resources upon which she has relied while speculating what life could look like without the constant burden of T1D.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">To join Hilary in person at our Breakthrough T1D Greater Delaware Valley One Dream Gala | Where Hope Grows on Saturday, April 15, 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">To support Hilary and the millions of other families living with and impacted by T1D, you can\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">make a donation to Fund A Cure<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">.
