Their parenthood wasn\u2019t easy from the start with Annabelle and Blair diagnosed with a rare genetic condition called Leigh Syndrome, and taking Annabelle\u2019s life at the age of eleven in October 2021. About a year later, their \u201chealthy\u201d son Clark was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes in November 2022.   Elizabeth and James are honored to be the Fund a Cure Family this year and are so hopeful with the belief that a cure for T1D is around the corner, thanks to all Breakthrough T1D has done to advance research and treatment options. James recently joined the Breakthrough T1D Board and looks forward to getting more involved for such a promising and personal cause.
