In those years, Moira has served as New England Chapter President, Chair Mom of Children’s Congress 2005, National Chair of Advocacy, National Chair of Outreach, and on the International Board’s Government Relations, Communications and Development committees. Their family Walk team, Got Islets, was a top fundraiser annually. Moira is also a BreakthroughT1D rider, having done dozens of rides, raised hundreds of thousands of dollars, and recruited hundreds of riders. She was named the foundation’s International Volunteer of the Year in 2007.
