38th Annual Figure Skating Exhibition To Benefit Breakthrough T1D

On Sunday, June 10, 2018 at 3 p.m. the Smithfield Figure Skating Club and Smithfield Municipal Ice Rink will hold the 38th Annual Figure Skating Exhibition to benefit Breakthrough T1D. This annual skating exhibition was started in 1979 by Pamela Medeiros, who has had diabetes since the age of two. It is intended to allow all club members to skate for fun without the pressure of competition, inviting family and friends. Ice time and raffle items were donated allowing all proceeds to benefit Breakthrough T1D, the world’s leading non-profit, non-governmental funder of type 1 diabetes research.
