Join Breakthrough T1D Greater New England for a special school fundraising challenge! The school who raises the most funds for type 1 diabetes (T1D) research between November 1, 2022 and January 31, 2023 will win a visit from Rob Buyea, award-winning author of the Mr. Terupt and The Perfect Score series.
Rob was a teacher before his debut novel. He lives in Massachusetts with his wife, three daughters, and two rescue dogs. The Buyea family are longtime supporters of Breakthrough T1D and Rob writes about T1D in Saving Mr. Terupt because of his daughter’s inspiring strength in dealing with this disease. The winning school will work with Rob to schedule the visit* in March, April, or May 2023. Elementary and middle schools with a focus of grades 2 -6 in Southern New Hampshire, Southern Maine, Rhode Island and eastern Massachusetts, are encouraged to participate in this challenge.
