Groundbreaking science is bringing us closer to cures than ever before. All these advances happened because of you\u2014our T1D champions.<\/p>\n

If you are planning on making charitable contributions prior to the end of 2024, we would greatly appreciate your consideration to include Breakthrough T1D in your year-end giving in any of the following ways:<\/p>\n

Ways to Give<\/h2>\n

General Donation<\/strong><\/a>

Memorial Donation<\/strong><\/a>
\nCelebrate the life of a loved one by honoring his or her memory with a donation to fund research that will lead to a cure.<\/p>\n

Stocks, Bonds, and Mutual Fund Donation<\/a>
\n<\/strong>Gift appreciated securities to help us fund T1D research\u2014and receive financial benefits.<\/p>\n

Real Estate<\/strong><\/a>
\nGifts of appreciated real estate are like gifts of appreciated securities. Assuming you have owned the property for more than one year, you may deduct the fair market value as a charitable contribution while bypassing all capital gains taxes.<\/p>\n

Charitable IRA Rollover<\/strong><\/a>
\nIf you\u2019re 70\u00bd or older, you can contribute up to $100,000 annually\u00a0from your IRA\u00a0without generating taxable income. This is an ideal way of making a tax-wise gift while satisfying your required minimum distribution (RMD). Charitable IRA Rollovers are simple to make and are a tax-wise giving strategy. A call to your plan administrator is all that is required to get started.<\/p>\n

Workplace Giving<\/a>
\n<\/strong>Take part in the Combined Federal Campaign, employee matches or fundraising drives to close in on a cure.<\/p>\n

Donor Advised Fund<\/strong><\/a>
\nGiving through a\u00a0donor advised fund (DAF)\u00a0has become the fastest growing source of charitable gifts over the last two decades. You receive an immediate charitable tax deduction for each contribution you make to your DAF, provided you itemize your deductions. You can then contribute to Breakthrough T1D and other charities at any time you choose, from one single account, simplifying your giving.<\/p>\n
