The One Walk is a special experience for many, like <a href=\"https:\/\/cc.jdrf.org\/delegates\/charlotte-2\/\">Idaho\u2019s Youth Ambassador Charlotte Swenson.<\/a> Charlotte is 12 years old and was diagnosed at the age of five. <em>\u201cI love the Breakthrough T1D Walk because it brings together so many people that support finding a cure for Type1. I make new friends and it makes me hopeful that we will get a cure soon.\u201d, <\/em>says Charlotte. Funds raised at the One Walk help advance T1D research and technology that is making an impact on the quality of Charlotte\u2019s life<em>. \u201cBecause of my continuous glucose monitor and insulin pump, I can sleep better, I am safer, and I am much healthier,\u201d<\/em> she says.\u00a0Check out Charlotte\u2019s video message for the Treasure Valley T1D community <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=rrVgfiYaQkQ\">HERE<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Taking place on <u>Saturday, October 14<sup>th<\/sup>, at Kleiner Park, in Meridian<\/u>, this year\u2019s walk is full of fun activities from face painting, pumpkin painting to Camp Hodia\u2019s Kid Zone! Have your questions answered by representatives from Sanofi, Tandem, Dexcom, Omnipod, Medtronic. Local partners from Idaho Central Credit Union, Idaho Power, and the Diabetes Association of Idaho will also be there to support the T1D community!<\/p>\n<p>Take pictures with Clyde the Camel, Princess Leia, the Mandalorian and other rebels! Learn about T1D screening or get screened at the onsite Trial Net screening booth.<\/p>\n<p>This year, Charlotte and the Treasure Valley T1D community have a goal of reaching a new milestone by raising $100,000 to keep the momentum going for type one diabetes research.
