The start of the school year is just around the corner and Breakthrough T1D wants to ensure that every child has the best possible school experience. Whether newly diagnosed and going back to school for the first time since diagnosis, starting a new school or looking for resources to help ease the transition back to school, Breakthrough T1D invites you to attend the Back to School with T1D program.
Presented by a Registered School Nurse, legal expert and a classroom teacher, parents will have an opportunity to ask questions and discuss the issues facing diabetes management from kindergarten through college. Information will be available about 504 plans, educational tool kits, tips on “low boxes” and storage of supplies. Issues about safe extra-curricular activities, field trips, lock-downs, and more. Join us and start the school year confidently!
Breakthrough T1D One Walk has one goal: to bring together our community and create a world without T1D. We know you want to make a cure a reality too and when you participate in the Breakthrough T1D OneWalk, you will help support life–changing breakthroughs that give hope to everyone impacted by this disease. Whether you’re new to the walk program or are a veteran team, join us to hear how our Breakthrough T1D team of staff and volunteers will be here to help you set and recruit your 2018 walk team. Your Breakthrough T1D support team is also here to show you all of the tools and materials available to meet your team’s fundraising goals.
