The Sherr Family Supports the Breakthrough T1D Promise Gala

The Sherr Family has supported Breakthrough T1D, formally JDRF since first getting involved when their son, Matthew, was diagnosed with T1D 20 years ago. In addition to generous donations, they have committed their time and energy to joining the fight to improve the lives of those living with T1D and finding a cure.

From organizing One Walk Teams, participating in Children’s Congress, being on the Board of Director’s and numerous Promise Ball Committees, interning with Breakthrough T1D, and so much more, the Sherr Family has made a lasting impact to the Greater New York Metro Breakthrough T1D community and beyond. 

Breakthrough T1D goals are ambitious, but achievable, especially with the commitment of our generous donors like the Sherr Family. We hope you join them in the fight to turn type one into type none.

The Promise Gala is an especially special event for Holly and the Sherr Family. Holly chaired the event for 8 years, as well as being a member of the Breakthrough T1D Board of the Directors for over 15 years. The Board of Directors is a group of volunteer leaders who accelerate Breakthrough T1D mission progress through special initiatives.

From funding innovative research to advocating for government action to providing a support structure for our community, no other organization does more to fight type 1 diabetes (T1D) than Breakthrough T1D.
