Breakthrough T1D Illinois announced the appointment of seven new Breakthrough T1D Illinois Chapter board members at the organization’s 2017 Annual Meeting on Monday, June 19th.

The new slate of board members consists of David Carlson (Redwood Capital Group), Kevin Dean (Experian), Geoff Hoffman (DHR International), Susan Lyons (The Newberry Library), Bob Napoli (William Blair), Simon Taylor (Accenture), and Francesca Zucker.

David Carlson

David Carlson is the Managing Partner at Redwood Capital Group where he is primarily responsible for the sourcing, underwriting and contractual negotiations of all investments. Additionally, Mr. Carlson is responsible for oversight of asset management, including budgeting and capital expenditure requirements, as well as all strategic dispositions.

David and his wife, Carrie, currently reside in Chicago. Their son, Wyatt, lives with T1D.

 

Kevin Dean

Kevin Dean is the President and General Manager of Experian Marketing Services’ Targeting business – the primary data, identity linkage, and audience activation partner in the advertising industry today. Dean joined Experian in 2011 as Senior Vice President, Global Product Management.

Kevin and his wife, Heather, live in St. Charles, Illinois with their two children. Their son, Ethan, lives with T1D.

 

Geoff Hoffmann

Geoff Hoffmann is the CEO of DHR International. He joined the company in 1999 and was promoted to CEO in October of 2012. In his current role, Geoff is responsible for directing all functions and operations of the business.

Geoff and his wife Megan live in Winnetka, Illinois, with their four children. Their son, Henry, lives with T1D.

 

Susan Lyons

Susan Lyons is currently an instructor with The Newberry Library, an independent research library in Chicago that has been open since 1887. Susan began her career in 1992 as an Associate for JP Morgan Chase in New York developing investment strategies for high net worth individuals and managing complex transactions for corporate and private finance clients.

Susan and her husband, Doug, currently live in Chicago with their two children. Their son, Nathaniel, lives with T1D.

 

Bob Napoli

Bob Napoli is a Partner and Co-Group Head – Financial Services and Technology at William Blair. He joined William Blair in 2011.

Bob has been involved with Breakthrough T1D for several years. He and his wife, Pandora, live in Wilmette, Illinois. Their daughter lives with T1D.

 

Simon Taylor

Simon Taylor is the Associate General Counsel for Accenture and Managing Director for Accenture’s Global Legal Group. In this role, Simon leads teams responsible for handling the most complex government and regulatory investigations across the company, including anti-corruption matters.

Simon and his wife, Lea, live in Chicago, Illinois with their three children. Their children, Max and Faye, live with T1D.

 

Francesca Zucker

Francesca Zucker has more than a decade of experience in government and non-profit organizations. Francesca gained her experience with Ameritech Corporation in Governmental Affairs – Sponsorship Relations, responsible for negotiating and managing the relationships with all Midwest professional sports organizations sponsored by Ameritech.

She and her husband, Michael, live in Highland Park, Illinois, with their three children. Their daughter, Liv, lives with T1D.
