Breakthrough T1D Mid-Atlantic seeks volunteers to support our Breakthrough T1D Walk<\/a> events taking place this May across the Mid-Atlantic region. Serving as a Walk volunteer is a fun and rewarding experience that allows you to be an important part of advancing the Breakthrough T1D mission.<\/p>\n

Adult volunteers (or youth volunteers who participate with a parent) are needed to assist with greeting attendees, youth activities, water stops, route support, and event break down. Please note that most jobs will involve standing and semi-active physical activity for an extended period of time.<\/p>\n

Breakthrough T1D Walk Hampton Roads<\/a> – Saturday, May 17 (Virginia Beach Boardwalk)<\/p>\n

Breakthrough T1D Walk Richmond<\/a> – Sunday, May 18 (Kings Dominion)<\/p>\n

Volunteers are also needed for our two community walks in Greater Blue Ridge<\/a> (April 27) and Charlottesville<\/a> (June 7). Please reach out to the volunteer lead(s) listed on the event page or contact Michelle Gerlowski<\/a> to be connected.<\/p>\n
