{"id":15700,"date":"2026-03-18T19:53:47","date_gmt":"2026-03-18T19:53:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.breakthrought1d.org\/maryland\/?p=15700"},"modified":"2026-03-18T19:55:45","modified_gmt":"2026-03-18T19:55:45","slug":"thank-you-to-the-kahlert-foundation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.breakthrought1d.org\/maryland\/2026\/03\/18\/thank-you-to-the-kahlert-foundation\/","title":{"rendered":"Thank You to The Kahlert Foundation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Breakthrough T1D is grateful to share that the Maryland-based Kahlert Foundation has awarded a $75,000 grant to support outreach for people living with type 1 diabetes across Maryland.<\/p>\n<p>This investment will help provide Bags of Hope and T1D Care Packs to individuals newly diagnosed with T1D and support the January 2027 Maryland Community Summit, where families, caregivers, and individuals with T1D come together for education, connection, and encouragement.<\/p>\n<p>Ellen Myers, Vice President and Executive Director of The Kahlert Foundation, served on the Mid-Atlantic JDRF board for nearly ten years and helped to first bring The Kahlert Foundation&#8217;s support to the cause in 2016. Since that time, the Foundation has invested more than $750,000 to support patients and families with T1D.<\/p>\n<p>The Kahlert Foundation is known for its commitment to strengthening communities across Maryland, supporting organizations that improve health, opportunity, and quality of life.
