Thanks to all who attended a Mid-Atlantic TypeOneNation Summit in March! We had two incredible events with over 500 attendees in Bethesda and Richmond who came together for a morning of networking and education with their T1D community. Over 40% of our attendees were attending a TypeOneNation Summit for the first time and the opportunity to talk to others navigating life with T1D was invaluable.<\/p>\n

Our interactive sessions featured volunteer leaders, school nurses, and patient advocates from across our footprint along with healthcare professionals from Bon Secours, Children’s National Hospital, Inova, Johns Hopkins Hospital, Kennedy Krieger, and VCU Health.<\/p>\n

Thanks to all of the speakers who shared their time and expertise with us. We are also grateful for the over 30 volunteers who helped the events run smoothly, including volunteers from Camp Possibilities, Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU, Children’s National Hospital, and Diabetes Link.<\/p>\n
