Breakthrough T1D&#8217;s team of Clinical Trial Education Volunteers (CTEVs) are highly trained to answer any questions you may have or to help you get matched up with a clinical trial near you. Here&#8217;s Sidney:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breakthrought1d.org\/midatlantic\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/60\/2023\/07\/Sidney.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9542\" src=\"https:\/\/www.breakthrought1d.org\/midatlantic\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/60\/2023\/07\/Sidney.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"259\" height=\"281\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nSidney has been living with type 1 diabetes (T1D) for seven years. She was first introduced to clinical trials when she participated in the Tzield study. She became passionate about clinical trials after seeing the results of the Tzield study lead to the ability for people to access a medication to delay T1D.<\/p>\n<p>Sidney is a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist in Washington, DC where she works with both adults and children with all types of diabetes. She is thrilled to be part of Breakthrough T1D as a Clinical Trials Education Volunteer. Sidney looks forward to educating more people about clinical trials and advocating for more people to become involved with clinical trials as a way to keep improving the lives of all people with diabetes.
