Registration is open for the Breakthrough T1D 5th Annual Fly Away Golf Dream taking place on Monday, June 8, 2015 at Double Eagle Club just outside of Columbus, Ohio.

The Fly Away Golf Dream is unlike any other charity golf outing. The day will include transportation by private jet, 18 holes of sensational golf, exquisite cuisine and many surprises along the way! We are excited to announce that two special guests will be joining us this year:

Derek Rapp

Derek Rapp, President and Chief Executive Officer of Breakthrough T1D will be attending and participating in this year’s event. Prior to his appointment, Derek served as Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors for Breakthrough T1D International and was formally Breakthrough T1D Research Chair. He has been involved in the research funding and oversight activities of Breakthrough T1D since 2005. Derek is married to Emily Rapp, and they have three children (Helen – 22, Turner – 20, who was diagnosed with T1D in 2004, and William – 17).

Mark Lye

Mark Lye, Former Golf Pro will be hosting a golf clinic prior to the shot gun start. Mark has become a familiar face over the years – from his 18-year career on the PGA TOUR, his role as an analyst on The Golf Channel and as a player on the Champions TOUR. Lye’s knowledge of the game on and off the course, as well as his versatility as a player, an instructor and a speaker have brought him great success making him a popular figure among his peers, business clients and golf fans.
