DEARBORN, MI – Foreigner has sold more than 75 million albums. 10 of them have gone multi-platinum. Perhaps their next big album will be the one recorded right here in Metro Detroit at an upcoming intimate event.

The rockers are currently on tour with Metro Detroit’s own Kid Rock. They will be at DTE Energy Music Theatre for 10 shows beginning Friday, August 7, 2015 through Saturday, August 22, 2015.

After that, Foreigner will remain in Detroit to record a new album, and you can be there.

Foreigner is donating their performance that evening, and their royalties from the record to Breakthrough T1D, a charity close to the band’s heart. Their longtime tour manager’s daughter was diagnosed with T1D in 2003 when she was 4 years old.

The evening’s one-hour set will feature some of rock’s best-known hits including “Feels Like The First Time,” “Cold As Ice,” “Hot Blooded,” “Juke Box Hero,” “Waiting For A Girl Like You,” and “I Want To Know What Love Is.”

Detroit choir:

The show will be opened by an a capella performance by Detroit student choir, Mosaic, who will also join Foreigner on stage for “I Want To Know What Love Is.”

Dinner included:

Guests will enjoy a strolling dinner that will feature select menu items curated by Foreigner front man and celebrated foodie Kelly Hansen prior to the performance. Also taking place that night will be a charity event featuring significant Foreigner memorabilia.
