Time to fall back into the school year and help to find a Cure for Diabetes! The Kids Walk to Cure Diabetes is Breakthrough T1D’s fastest growing fundraiser, and we are currently booking schools for the 2013-2014 school year! Last year, participating schools raised almost $30,000, reaching over 8,700 students in the DC metro area.  Some of the highlights of the program include:

• Your school can receive 10% of the money raised
• Breakthrough T1D staff will provide an EDUCATIONAL Kick Off Presentation on a date and time that works for you
• Breakthrough T1D helps facilitate a “Kids Walk to Cure Diabetes” on your campus
• Students can earn fabulous prizes AND help other children with diabetes!
• Your students can earn a banner to display their accomplishment
• Money raised by your school will be credited to your 2014 MD, DC, or VA Walk to Cure Diabetes goal!

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

Two dates on your school calendar, two weeks apart. We’ll conduct the kick-off assembly on the first date. The second will be to hold the Kids Walk on your school campus!
