Halloween in Nashville – Ride the Hills of Tennessee
October 29 – November 1, 2015
Ever wonder what it would be like to ride several dozen miles up to 100 on a road bike, in spandex, and a Halloween outfit in the countryside of Tennessee? Many members of our chapter are headed south this Fall to celebrate Halloween during one of our Breakthrough T1D Ride to Cure Diabetes destinations located just south of Nashville, Tennessee. Are you ready to celebrate with your fellow Breakthrough T1D community there too?
“Nashville is one of my favorite cities to visit. Combining the great vibe of a Music City with the incredible energy of a Breakthrough T1D Ride, and on Halloween no less! It’s guaranteed to be an unforgettable weekend.” – Ali Umberger, T1D, Veteran Rider, 1st time Nashville rider
Franklin, Tennessee — located 14 miles south of Nashville – is an oasis of Southern hospitality in a 16-block National Register district of shops, boutiques, restaurants, and some of the best cycling the South has to offer. The Breakthrough T1D Nashville Ride to Cure Diabetes Ride will start in Franklin and follow scenic roads through the countryside before entering the Natchez Trace Parkway. This ride offers a challenging out-and-back course with rolling hills, beautiful vistas, and limited commercial traffic.
