We are so excited to have you as our guest at the 16th Annual Breakthrough T1D Hope Gala Presented by PhRMA and are gearing up for a fantastic evening! The Breakthrough T1D Hope Gala is a night of celebration and courage for all those living with and affected by type 1 diabetes (T1D). Each person in attendance has the unique opportunity to directly impact and advance T1D research and technology advancements through his/her participation. We have highlighted below the many different ways in which guests can participate in the evening and contribute to the success of the Gala. These opportunities include:
FUND A CURE
100% of your Fund A Cure donation goes straight to research/research related education and 100% is a tax deductible donation. At the Gala, please take a moment to raise your paddle and have a direct impact on type 1 diabetes research.
Note: Please make sure to bring your cellphones fully charged! Guests will have the opportunity to use their smartphones when bidding on silent auction items throughout the night.

CHECK-IN
All guests MUST check in upon entering. Here you will receive your table number, and bid number as well as provide your credit card information for Express Pay.
To minimize your time at check in, please provide Alex Barker (abarker@BreakthroughT1D.org) with your full contact information, including cell number prior to the event.
BID PAL
This year’s silent auction will again be fully electronic via your smartphone. For the best experience and early access to the silent auction, please provide a 10-digit cell phone number for you and all guests to Breakthrough T1D before November 3rd. You will receive a text message prior to your arrival at The National Building Museum. Simply launch the enclosed personal link to bid early and often right from your fully charged smartphone!

ATTIRE
The Breakthrough T1D Gala is a black tie optional event. Tuxedos and dark suits are appropriate for men. Cocktail or full length dresses are suitable for women.
AFTER PARTY
Please join us for our inaugural Breakthrough T1D Hope Gala After Party. The evening will feature live entertainment from the band Liquid Pleasure, open bar, dancing, late night eats, and more! The evening begins at 9:30pm at the National Building Museum and complimentary valet is available. Early bird ticket pricing ends Sunday, October 16th so don’t delay and purchase your ticket today!
