My Greatest Supporter
Who is your Greatest Supporter?
It is often said that Type 1 diabetes (T1D) is a family disease. Between the constant checking, the unpredictability and learning an entirely new language of diabetes, no one person can manage the disease without the support network of family, friends, co-workers and healthcare professionals. Breakthrough T1D is proud to celebrate our Greatest Supporters and tell them just how important they are to us!
During the months of May and June, Breakthrough T1D Rocky Mountain wants you to tell us who your Greatest Supporter is! Whether it’s your mom who still calls you religiously to check on your blood sugar numbers (even though you’re 35), your best friend who always has your back, your dad who never once let you believe that T1D could hold you back, or your school nurse who always smiles and remembers your favorite snacks, we want to hear about them!
You can share your pictures of you and your greatest supporter using the hashtag #MyGreatestSupporter on your Social Media pages all through the months of May and June. Be sure to Tag @JDRFRockyMountain! Switch your supporters up to include National Nurses Day on May 6th, Mother’s Day on May 13th Best Friends Day on June 8th and Father’s Day on June 17th!
Don’t have social media but still want to recognize your network? Email your pictures and stories to Lisa at lvandenberg@BreakthroughT1D.org and we’ll make sure to recognize your supporters on our Blog!
