Meet the New Mountain West Executive Director!

in ,

On Monday, May 13, the Mountain West Chapter welcomed its new Executive Director, Andrew Rodgers!

Andrew has nearly two decades of executive leadership in the non-profit sector, creating organizational growth, community impact, and financial success. He is a skilled fundraiser and storyteller with expertise in team building, change management, strategic planning, and community engagement.

Andrew most recently served as the President and CEO of the Albuquerque Museum Foundation, the support organization for a regional arts and history center. There, he expanded the museum’s impact and elevated the accessibility of arts programs and educational opportunities. Prior, he served as the Executive Director of the Denver Film Society in Colorado, and the RiverRun International Film Festival in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He started his career as a journalist at the Chicago Tribune, and later served as a publicist for the Sundance Film Festival.

Andrew was born in Central Illinois, is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University, and has an MBA from Wake Forest University. In his free time, he likes to write short fiction, read mysteries and non-fiction, and watch Formula 1 racing. If he’s really being honest with himself, though, that previous statement is a bit rich… That’s because there is no such thing as free time in the Rodgers household! Not with logistics surrounding his two daughters, Mia and Anya. He and his wife Iana, a film producer, spend most of their time shuttling their girls to and fro; planning family activities, like ski days and movie nights; and inventing new answers to that eternal question of modern childhood: “Can I play my Nintendo now?”

We welcome Andrew to Breakthrough T1D!
