Youth and Young Adults: Use Your Voice to Power Breakthroughs
This fall, Breakthrough T1D is offering three opportunities for youth and young adults living with T1D to have their voices heard.
Children’s Congress
Are you living with T1D and between the ages of 4 and 17?
Apply for Breakthrough T1D Children’s Congress, once again reconvening in Washington, D.C. in July 2025!
Next summer, our 13th biennial event held for youth ages 4 through 17 living with type 1 diabetes (T1D) will take place in Washington, D.C. Breakthrough T1D Children’s Congress convenes more than 160 youth from across the country and around the globe for the unique and empowering opportunity to meet with members of Congress and other federal decision-makers to shine a light on the day-to-day experiences of life with T1D and advance our key issues.
Why should you apply to represent the Mountain West Chapter at Breakthrough T1D 2025 Children’s Congress? In addition to making an impact on Capitol Hill, you’ll build lifelong friendships with other youth with T1D, meet inspiring T1D role models, develop leadership skills, and learn how to take your advocacy work to the next level!
If you are interested in participating in Breakthrough T1D 2025 Children’s Congress, you can apply online now through November 24 at 11:59pm HST at cc.breakthrought1d.org/apply. Applicants must be between the ages of 4 and 17 at the time of the event to be eligible to apply.
Help us create a world without T1D by speaking up and sharing your personal story in Washington, D.C.!
