6:00 pm

It’s time once again for the annual Gingerbread House Party hosted by the Breakthrough T1D Youth Ambassadors and supported by the Breakthrough T1D Rocky Mountain Young Leadership Committee.
Children and teens will work together to build gingerbread houses and create fun stories to go along with them. All houses, decorations and supplies will be included. A variety of awards will be given including, “Most Creative House”, “Funniest Story” , and “Best House to Fix a Low Blood Sugar”. Houses will be given as holiday gifts to local businesses who support Breakthrough T1D throughout the year.

Finger foods and hot cocoa will be provided by Breakthrough T1D. Sapor Coffee and Concepts has a wonderful menu of coffee and tea selections to choose from for purchase as well.

Please RSVP by Monday, December 9th to ensure we have enough houses and food for everyone!

FAQs

Is there parking available?

YES! Sapor is located just across the street from the Breakthrough T1D Offices. Free parking is available in the garage below the coffee shop accessible from Alcott, and additional street parking may be found on 27th, Alcott, or Bryant or in the Breakthrough T1D Office Building Parking lot at 2727 Bryant Street, Denver, CO 80211.

Do we take the houses home with us?

Breakthrough T1D Gingerbread houses are a longstanding tradition with corporate partners who look forward to receiving them every year. After the houses and stories are created, Breakthrough T1D volunteers will deliver these handmade treasures to Denver area business partners.

What if I/my children have allergies?

Hot Cocoa options will include regular and dairy free (most likely almond milk.) The gingerbread houses are pre-built and store bought, and include icing bags and assorted candy decorations. While children will be discouraged from eating the houses and icing, contamination is a possibility for those with severe allergies. Please use your discretion.
