About This Event
Newly diagnosed individuals and families, as well as anyone at any stage of their type 1 diabetes (T1D) journey, are invited to a free TypeOneNation Summit Meet & Greet hosted by the Breakthrough T1D Mountain West Chapter.
Join us the evening of Wednesday, November 16, where we will offer opportunities to learn more about who Breakthrough T1D is and how we serve the greater T1D community as well as the broader experiences of life with T1D. No matter if you’ve lived with T1D for 10 minutes or 10 years, all are invited to come meet and mingle with the Utah Breakthrough T1D and T1D communities. However, newly diagnosed individuals and their family, friends, and caregivers will find our programming beneficial to the beginnings of their T1D journeys.
We will be hosting a Q&A featuring panelists with different experiences with Breakthrough T1D and life with T1D. Help us ensure your questions get answers by submitting your questions ahead of time!
While this event is family-friendly, and we encourage you to invite family members, please note that there will be no Kids Camp offered at this event and no official childcare will be available.
Food and beverages will be offered for free at this event, with gluten-free options available. Special thanks to SCHEELS for catering our event!

At Breakthrough T1D, protecting the health and safety of our guests, donors, volunteers and staff remains a top priority as we prepare to come together in person to advance the mission we all share.
Breakthrough T1D has analyzed recent COVID-19 data and trends and there has been a decrease in the number of COVID-19 cases around the country. For this reason, Breakthrough T1D has made the decision to discontinue the proof of vaccination and/or negative COVID test requirement for attendees of this event.
Individuals who wish to wear masks at any of our Breakthrough T1D events are encouraged and welcome to do so. For the health and safety of everyone, event attendees experiencing signs of illness are kindly asked to stay home.
