Ben Landry began playing rugby in 7th grade and was a multi-sport athlete throughout his high school career. He also played both football and basketball , but decided to focus on rugby in college.
A former high school teammate of the NFL’s JJ Watt, Landry grew up with rugby as a family sport and has been selected for many USA Rugby age-grade squads including the Men’s XV Selects.
In 2016, he earned his first cap at the Americas Rugby Championship (ARC) and suited up again with the Eagles for the Emirates Airline Summer Series and 2019 Rugby World Cup Qualifiers in 2017.
After joining the Eagles for their November Test Series later that year, Landry was an easy selection for Head Coach Gary Gold’s 2018 Americas Rugby Championship roster.
