Action Alert: Tell Congress to Push for Coverage of Artificial Pancreas System

As Congress works to address many issues on its agenda, we need your help to urge your Members to sign onto important letters to the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) calling for coverage of diabetes management technologies, including artificial pancreas (AP) systems. More than 150 Members of Congress have signed on, but we need more support in the coming days before the letters are finalized.
Currently, the 25 largest private health plans cover AP systems, but Medicare does not. Please take two minutes today to urge your Members of Congress to sign onto the letters being led by the Senate and House Diabetes Caucuses. Breakthrough T1D believes all people with T1D deserve access to the latest innovations, including AP systems. Please ask friends and family to act on this alert as well.
Together, our community has fought for affordable insulin, coverage for AP systems, choice of therapies, and protections for pre-existing conditions. Thank you for your help today as we send a clear message to Congress that CMS needs to expand coverage of AP systems.
