This volunteer role is focused on reaching out, listening, sharing helpful resources, and reminding families they are not alone.<\/p>\n<p>Outreach Ambassadors connect by phone, email, or text to offer reassurance, share resources, and help families learn about local and national support opportunities.<\/p>\n<p>This role:<\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Is a remote volunteer opportunity that is phone and email based<\/li>\n<li>Requires about 4 to 6 hours per month<\/li>\n<li>Helps newly diagnosed families with a warm and supportive first connection<\/li>\n<li>Includes training and support from Breakthrough T1D staff and volunteer leaders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A good fit for this role is someone who:<\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Has a direct connection to T1D, either personally or as a parent\/caregiver<\/li>\n<li>Has at least one year of experience with T1D<\/li>\n<li>Is comfortable making phone calls, sending emails, and checking messages<\/li>\n<li>Is compassionate, encouraging, and willing to listen<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>You do not need to have all the answers.
