We&#8217;ve walked in our own neighborhoods with small groups of family and friends. We&#8217;ve logged our miles on treadmills, in parks and at the Jersey Shore.<\/p>\n<p>While the past two years have been challenging in so many ways, our local community rallied together to raise nearly $1 million to power research, enable advocacy and fund support for the 1.6 million Americans living with T1D.<\/p>\n<p>We&#8217;ve learned a lot in the past two years. <strong>Our community is strong!<\/strong> We showed the world that no matter what, together, we can conquer T1D!<\/p>\n<p>We are so excited to announce that we will gather <strong>in person<\/strong> this fall for three Breakthrough T1D One Walks!<\/p>\n<p>Sunday, October 16 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/secure3.convio.net\/jdrf3\/site\/TR?fr_id=8688&amp;pg=entry\">Jersey Shore One Walk, Avon-by-the-Sea<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Sunday, October 30 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/secure3.convio.net\/jdrf3\/site\/TR?fr_id=8690&amp;pg=entry\">Johnson Park, Piscataway<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Sunday, November 6 &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/secure3.convio.net\/jdrf3\/site\/TR?fr_id=8689&amp;pg=entry\">Liberty State Park, Jersey City<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>If you cannot make it to one of these locations, there is still an option to join us as a virtual walker at any of our locations. During registration, choose &#8220;On your own (Your Walk, Your Way)&#8221; under event participation. You may continue gathering close to home with you T1D support circle while participating in the largest T1D event in the world.<\/p>\n<p>If your team previously walked at Ridgefield Park or Morris County, please choose where you&#8217;d like to join us this year, and select &#8220;create a new team&#8221; during registration.
