Ride to Cure Kick-Off NYC!
in General
Please join us for the Ride to Cure Diabetes kick-off on Tuesday, June 18th from 6pm-7pm at our national office in NYC, followed by Happy Hour at the Crooked Knife on 29th East 30th Street! The Ride to Cure Diabetes brings riders from around the world to take on two challenges: raising the money needed to fund research for better treatments and a cure for diabetes, and reaching a personal training goal to prepare for a destination cycling experience!
Breakthrough T1D Ride to Cure Diabetes destinations are designed for riders of all fitness levels. Even if you are not an everyday cyclist, our USA Cycling certified coaches will work with you in the months prior to the Ride to develop a training program based on your individual needs. The first step in participating this year to attend our 2013 Ride Kick-off Event in NYC on the 18th.
We will be meeting at our national office at 432 Park Avenue South, 15th Floor, NYC. From 6:00pm – 6:30pm, meet new and returning riders, followed by a ride information program from 6:30pm – 7:00pm. Learn about new and exciting ways to support Breakthrough T1D through the Ride to Cure Diabetes program, plus receive fundraising materials and information while enjoying an evening of getting to know the Metro Region riders. Then head out to the Crooked Knife for Happy Hour with fellow riders at 29 East 30th Street!
