Open Road Auto Group Community Day

Breakthrough T1D corporate partner and 2017 One Dream Gala honoree, Open Road Auto Group, looks to raise awareness and funds for Breakthrough T1D and local nonprofits at Team Honda Community DayStop by Open Road Honda in Edison to say hi to our One Walk Family Team Chairs, Jim and Jennifer McCue, and enjoy the dealership festivities! 


Open Road Auto Group is proud to announce the Team Honda Community Day hosted at Open Road Honda in Edison, NJ. Breakthrough T1D will be joined by the Central Jersey Blood Service, handling blood donations, and Hands of Hope Food Bank, accepting soup kitchen donations, canned goods, and non-perishable food items.

The Community Day, which will be on June 10 from 12-5 PM is part of Honda of North America’s Week of Service. There will be a DJ, a free BBQ, face painting, and more family fun and giveaways taking place on site in addition to the Blood and Food Drive.

Michael Morais, president of Open Road Auto Group, said “We are honored to be showing our continued support for Breakthrough T1D so they may continue to search for a cure to type 1 diabetes.” Morias continued, “So many individuals receive blood transfusions every day, I am glad we have the scope to be able to host the blood drive and support our local community.”

In addition to the charitable and fun family events that will be taking place on site during Community Day, the dealership will be coordinating contests and surprise giveaways. Honda of North America will also be present with the all new Honda Clarity Electric range extending vehicle. This is an exclusive first look at the vehicle which is not yet available in the New York market.
