T1D Champions. All Day. Every Day.
November is National Diabetes Awareness Month (NDAM) and we need your help to spread the word! Join us for this one month challenge!
T1D Champions are people just like you who want to make a difference. They inspire others to fulfill their dreams, overcoming obstacles that stand in their way.
This November, we invite you to tell us the story of your T1D Champion. We ask you to participate in our goal to raise both funds and awareness in honor of your loved one.
To accept the T1D Champion Challenge, you simply agree to set a goal of raising $1,250 in honor of the 1.25 million Americans living with type 1 diabetes.
Will you be a CHAMPION this month? If you raise $1,250, you will receive the “No Limits” long sleeve t-shirt.
Here are 5 easy steps to get started!
Step 1: Join the T1D Champion Challenge with a goal to raise $1,250.
Anyone who raises $1,250 will receive the “I’m The Unstoppable Type” t-shirt.
Step 2: Download the NDAM toolkit
Use this step-by-step guide to help you successfully fundraising during the month of November.
Step 3: Tell your story!
Sharing your personal story can be the most powerful way to really connect with others and spread awareness about type 1 diabetes. To help get you started, here are some tips on how to craft and share your story.
Step 4: Spread the word.
Using Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube and other channels, tell your T1D story and promote your T1D Champion Challenge. Push yourself out of your comfort zone and ask for more than you think you should. And remember, it usually takes three “asks” to receive a donation. People are busy but want to support you. We encourage you to re-send friendly notes to your supporters, reminding them of how meaningful their donation is to you!
Step 5: Thank and celebrate!
The last step is to make sure that you thank everyone for their donations and celebrate their part in making this year’s NDAM campaign a success!
Thank you for being a T1D Champion! Together, we will arrive at the finish line faster and realize a world without type 1 diabetes.
