Travis Epp

Travis Epp is an Audit Partner and Partner-in-Charge of the Manufacturing and Distribution Group at EisnerAmper, with nearly 30 years of experience in public practice and private industry. Travis and his family first became involved with Breakthrough T1D when his son Zach was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (T1D) in April of 2021, after contracting Covid at a basketball tournament. Within days of his son’s diagnosis, Travis joined a Breakthrough T1D virtual research update and decided then that he would stop at nothing to find a cure for T1D. Travis and his family were most recently honored at the New Jersey Metro & Rockland County Chapter’s One Dream Gala in May of this year. Travis and his wife Candice, an AVP-Wealth Management Specialist at Merrill Lynch, reside in Westfield, NJ with Zach and their older son Matthew, as well as their beloved dogs Bailey and Khali.

Matthew Kelly

Matthew Kelly is Senior Vice President – Corporate Client Services for Guidepoint, connecting clients with vetted subject matter experts from its global professional network. Matt first engaged with Breakthrough T1D after his son Matty was diagnosed with T1D in December 2020 at the age of 5. Sharing a love for golf with his family, Matt stepped into serving on the planning committee for the Breakthrough T1D Golf Classic for the past two years. Matt and his wife Cassandra live in Berkeley Heights, NJ, with their son Matty.

Lulu McCartin

Lulu McCartin has over 20 years of pharmaceutical industry experience including roles at both large pharmaceutical and small biotech companies. She brings with her the best of both worlds, robust training and a sense of entrepreneurship. Most recently, Lulu was the VP of commercial operations at Provention Bio where she was responsible for establishing the market insights, forecasting and sales operations functions and building a high-performing team. Prior to ProventionBio, she was at SUN Pharma and Celgene Corp where she held multiple roles including Lead, Business Insights and Analytics for US and Latin America. Lulu earned a B.A. in Business Administration from Universidad Regiomontana, at her native Monterrey Mexico and her MBA in Marketing and Finance from Rutgers University. She resides in Central NJ with her husband Ken and two children, Aidan and Vanessa.

Lori Wagman

Lori Wagman is an independent financial services professional and philanthropist who has been supporting Breakthrough T1D since her oldest daughter, Emilie, was diagnosed with T1D in April 2014 at the age of 7. Passionate about research and improving lives for all people with T1D, she also serves on the Board of Directors of the Camp Nejeda Foundation. The Wagman Family was recognized as the Fund a Cure family at this year’s One Dream Gala, where Emilie and her family shared their nine-year journey with T1D and their hopes for cures. Lori earned her accounting degree from Villanova University and her MBA from Rutgers University. She lives in Berkeley Heights, NJ with her husband Larry, a founding principal at Golden Parachute Tax Solutions, their three children Emilie, Joel, and Abigail, their three pugs and a humuhumunukunukuapua’a.
