It is with great honor and pleasure that we introduce our 2023 One Walk: Jersey Shore Healthcare Ambassador: Dr. Marianna Nicoletta-Gentile, DO, a pediatric endocrinologist at Hackensack Meridian Children’s Health/K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital.

The Healthcare Ambassador is an Everyday Hero who inspires those affected by type 1 diabetes (T1D) to be brave, be strong, and fight to turn Type One into Type None.

Her colleagues and patients alike agree that Dr. Nicoletta is incredibly kind, gracious and collaborative, with one of the nurses she works with saying she truly admires, “the incredible amount of time and patience she gives families who need their questions answered and to know that life is going to be ok with type 1 diabetes.”

Dr. Nicoletta earned her BS from St. John’s University and her Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. She did her Pediatric Residency at Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children’s Medical Center in NY, followed by a Pediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes Fellowship at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore. Prior to joining Hackensack Meridian Health, Dr. Nicoletta was a Pediatric Endocrinologist at Morristown Memorial Hospital.
