Mark your calendars! Community Summit, formerly TypeOneNation Summit, will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at Kean University in Union, NJ. Registration to open in January.

The Breakthrough T1D Community Summit is an educational and inspirational one-day event that showcases diverse stories of individuals living with or affected by T1D, as well as insights and information from health care and diabetes industry experts. Attendees can learn about the latest advancements in therapies and technologies for managing T1D and practical tips for staying healthy and positive.

This year’s Keynote Speaker is Stacey Simms, the host of the long-running and award-winning podcast Diabetes Connections and the author of “The World’s Worst Diabetes Mom” book series. She hosts Moms’ Night Out – an in-person event for moms of children with diabetes. Stacey’s son, Benny, was diagnosed with type 1 in 2006, just before he turned two. He’s now a college sophomore attending a school 600 miles away from home. Stacey’s daughter has been outspoken about the experience of siblings of kids with T1D.
