In their leadership role, they connect their business associates and employees with the Breakthrough T1D mission and with each other. Not only do they rally a Walk team in their own workplaces, but they open up their networks and recruit more participants and supporters of type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. <\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:2,&quot;335551620&quot;:2,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">With much appreciation, we welcome our Corporate Chair for the 2022 Breakthrough T1D One Walk, NorCal:<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335551550&quot;:2,&quot;335551620&quot;:2,&quot;335559739&quot;:160,&quot;335559740&quot;:259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> Rick McConnell, Chief Executive Officer, Dynatrace<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<p>Rick McConnell first got involved with Breakthrough T1D in 2018 when his daughter Emily was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes (T1D). He has been a successful technology executive for 30 years, establishing a reputation for scaling multibillion-dollar companies in competitive growth markets. He joined Dynatrace as Chief Executive Officer in December 2021. Prior to Dynatrace, he was President at Akamai Technologies and General Manager of Akamai\u2019s Security Technology Group, where he was responsible for growing the company\u2019s security business from a few million dollars of revenue in 2011 to becoming a $1.3+ billion business. Prior to Akamai, he was part of the early leadership team that built Cisco\u2019s multibillion-dollar Communications and Collaboration business and served in several senior executive positions at Cisco Systems.
