November marks National Diabetes Awareness Month (NDAM), a time when the world comes together to shed light on a chronic disease that affects millions. Moving Forward for Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) unites us as a community, urging everyone to join in and stride towards a brighter, healthier future for those living with T1D.\u00a0This year, we\u2019re showing the world how we\u2019re moving Forward together. In this movement Forward, progress and innovation propel us toward life-changing breakthroughs, so that we can end T1D once and for all. We\u2019re celebrating the progress we\u2019ve made, the progress to come, and the community that helps us all move #ForwardAs1 every single day.<\/span><\/p>\n

ISPAD Annual Conference Highlights Include Tzield, Kidney Disease Clinical Trial Updates<\/strong><\/p>\n

Leading diabetes researchers gathered for the annual conference of the International Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Diabetes (ISPAD), which took place from October 18-21 in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, and had more than 1,600 attendees\u2014its largest-ever audience. More than 45 studies were presented by Breakthrough T1D researchers, funded now or in the past, working to find cures for T1D and improve the lives of those living with the condition today. Tzield and other diabetes breakthroughs make Time’s Top Inventions List!<\/strong><\/p>\n

We are thrilled to see Tzield listed among Time’s Top Inventions of 2023<\/a><\/b>! This breakthrough disease-modifying therapy is adding years without the burden of T1D to people\u2019s lives. Breakthrough T1D and the Breakthrough T1D T1D Fund are proud to have played a role in its development. Other diabetes innovations\u00a0on the list are the iLet Bionic Pancreas and Semaglutides.<\/p>\n
