Breakthrough T1D Community Summit to be Held on September 21 in San Ramon<\/h3>\n

The Breakthrough T1D Community Summit (formerly JDRF TypeOneNation Summit) will bring together the NorCal type 1 diabetes (T1D) community for a day of education, inspiration and connection. Learn from medical experts through a variety of breakout sessions, stay up-to-date on the latest technology and treatment options and meet others in the T1D community. A Spanish-speaking Track, Teen Track, and Youth Camp will be available.\u00a0Learn more and register<\/a>.<\/p>\n

NorCal Advocates Return from Government Day on Capitol Hill<\/h3>\n

Our dedicated Breakthrough T1D NorCal Advocates have returned from Government Day in Washington, DC! From June 3-5, these hardworking volunteers met with our nation\u2019s leaders on Capitol Hill to share their stories and advocate for federal support and funding for T1D research, insulin affordability, and health policies that benefit our community.

American Diabetes Association (ADA) 84th Scientific Sessions<\/h3>\n

The American Diabetes Association\u2019s 84th Scientific Sessions took place last month, where scientists presented the latest T1D research, from beta cell replacement to regeneration to complications. Topics included a report on Tzield – a therapy that can prevent the clinical diagnosis for up to 3 years – and\u00a0updates on several automated insulin delivery, or artificial pancreas, systems.
