Engineered Islets Are Making Insulin and Avoiding Immune Detection in First Person Treated<\/h3>\n

Sana Biotechnology\u2019s hypoimmune (HIP) donor-derived islets are genetically engineered to avoid immune destruction without the need for immunosuppressants. Findings were published in the New England Journal of Medicine in an article titled \u201cSurvival of Transplanted Allogeneic Beta Cells with No Immunosuppression.\u201d This marks a major step toward cures for T1D!\u00a0Read more.<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n
