Walk day is all about celebrating our T1D champions\u2014here is what you need to know to make the most of the day!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #002bff\"><strong>DIRECTIONS &amp; PARKING &amp; PETS<\/strong> \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0b1157\"><strong>Druthers Brewing Company is located at 12 Southside Dr in Clifton Park, NY. <\/strong>There is parking available on location as well as anywhere within the The Shops at Village Plaza.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0b1157\">Please note that there are <strong>no dogs allowed<\/strong> anywhere on the Druthers property. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #002bff\"><strong>WHEN YOU ARRIVE and the PRE-WALK PARTY<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0b1157\"><strong>The pre-walk party starts at 9:30am and the walk kicks off at 10:45am.<\/strong> Everything will be set up behind the restaurant in the outdoor space and pavilion. While we\u2019re hopeful for good weather, we will walk rain or shine!<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0b1157\"><strong>Registration is required for all walkers, including children. <\/strong>If you know of anyone that is planning to walk with you, please make sure they register in advance.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0b1157\"><strong>We are not collecting donations on walk day<\/strong>. If you have cash donations, please convert those to a personal check made payable to Breakthrough T1D. Checks can be deposited with the use of the mobile check deposit feature on your Breakthrough T1D Walk app or mailed to Breakthrough T1D, Upstate New York Chapter, PO Box 5053 in Hagerstown, MD 21741.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0b1157\">America may run on Dunkin\u2019 but on Sunday, we walk on Dunkin\u2019!\u00a0 Visit the Dunkin\u2019 table for a cup of coffee and a sweet treat. <strong>Thank you to Dunkin\u2019 <\/strong>for your generous donation.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0b1157\"><strong>If you have T1D<\/strong>, make sure you stop by the Breakthrough T1D table and pick up your special gift to wear during the event! Also, if this is your <strong>first time ever walking<\/strong> with us, make sure you ask for your sticker! \u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0b1157\"><strong>Walkers who have personally raised $1,000 or more have earned V1P status!<\/strong> Make sure you stop by the V1P tent for a fun photo and a small gift from Breakthrough T1D.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0b1157\">Stop by <strong>Resource Row<\/strong> and check out the latest in T1D resources and products. Make sure you stop by our new <strong>T1D Trailblazers Board<\/strong> and leave a tip, triumph, or tribute message to your T1D.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0b1157\">Check out the <strong>Activities Zone<\/strong> and take a picture in our photobooth, get a balloon animal and some face paint or glitter. <u>Kids<\/u> are welcome to visit the Building Breakthroughs Lego table to chill out and build something cool or stop by our Sugar Scrub Station for some fun DIY sugar scrubs.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0b1157\">Teams that have raised $2,500 or more are welcome to join us in <strong>Team Village<\/strong>. This is a special area just for our top teams to meet at their reserved high-top table. \u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #002bff\"><strong>OPENING CEREMONIES AND T1D PARADE<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0b1157\">At 10:30am our opening ceremonies will start. We are thrilled to have<strong> NewsChannel 13\u2019s Zach Richter <\/strong>be our emcee for this event. \u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0b1157\">During the opening ceremony, if you have T1D, please gather near the restaurant porch to get ready for our <strong>T1D Parade<\/strong>. When it comes time, we will parade through the grounds and through the crowd to the walk archway. If you are not walking in the parade, please be mindful of the volunteers working to clear the way. There will be time after the parade for everyone to make it back to their teams before the official start to ensure all families are able to walk the route together.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0b1157\">The <strong>walk route<\/strong> is a little over 2 miles and is stroller and wheelchair friendly. We will be walking through the adjacent Town Center Park. There will be a water station along the route but please make sure you have some water before you start and bring a snack in case of a low blood sugar.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #002bff\"><strong>T-SHIRTS AND PRIZES<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0b1157\">Earn your official Breakthrough T1D Walk participant shirt when you raise $100. Once you\u2019ve hit this milestone, your t-shirt will be mailed directly to the address listed at registration. T-Shirts are distributed individually and mailed directly to your home on an ongoing basis. <strong>There is no t-shirt pick up on walk day.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0b1157\">Walkers will be able to select an item from the <strong>prize catalog<\/strong> once they have raised $250. You have until May 30<sup>th<\/sup> to fundraise toward these great prizes. You will receive an email 2 weeks after the walk to select your item. \u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0b1157\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #002bff\"><strong>AFTER THE WALK- GRAB LUNCH AT DRUTHERS<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0b1157\">Following the walk, walkers and the public are encouraged to have <strong>lunch at Druthers<\/strong> starting at 11:30. Druthers will graciously donate 35% of your check to Breakthrough T1D when you show your server <a style=\"color: #0b1157\" href=\"https:\/\/www2.breakthrought1d.org\/site\/DocServer\/Druthers_Dine_Donate_Flyer.pdf\">this flyer<\/a> (also available at the walk).
