All week long, Breakthrough T1D will be honoring our remarkable volunteer partners who dedicate themselves to creating a world without type 1 diabetes (T1D). Your limitless passion and dedicated efforts are advancing our shared mission. This year\u2019s National Volunteer Week theme is T1D Changemakers. Who exactly is a T1D Changemaker? Individuals who take action to accelerate life-changing breakthroughs to cure, treat, and prevent T1D. From board, event committees and office volunteers, to advocacy leaders and youth ambassadors, we thank each and every one of you who share your time, talent and knowledge with us. Together, we will continue to push forward until living in a world without T1D becomes a reality. Two such Changemakers are Dan Woolf and Sarah Meidl.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dan Woolf, Ride Coach<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breakthrought1d.org\/northeastwesternwi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/176\/2022\/04\/Dan-W-Join-our-team.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-7841 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.breakthrought1d.org\/northeastwesternwi\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/176\/2022\/04\/Dan-W-Join-our-team-800x799.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"227\" height=\"227\" \/><\/a>Dan Woolf is one of our Breakthrough T1D Ride to Cure coaches for Team Wisconsin! He and his wife Megan began riding in the program in 2013 when asked to join by good friends &amp; neighbors, Kent and Jen Altmann. After their first ride in La Crosse, they were hooked and inspired. Dan is in his 8<sup>th<\/sup> year as a coach &amp; for the 2022 season has been asked to serve as the Breakthrough T1D National Ride Program Partner. In this volunteer leadership role, he will serve as a liaison to the coach corp across the country, help ensure coaches &amp; riders have a great experience and share his excitement of being back in-person. You\u2019re fiercely determined\u2014 giving everything you do 100 percent, no matter what\u2014even if it means working into the wee hours of the morning! On top of being an ATC, Breakthrough T1D Rider, and a T1D mom we know you\u2019re also working towards your master\u2019s degree. You juggle SO much, so gracefully!
