Breakthrough T1D Bay Area invites the child in your life to apply to serve as an Ambassador for our 2013 Walk to Cure Diabetes. Breakthrough T1D is looking for Walk Ambassadors to represent each of our four Greater Bay Area Walk destinations. The role of the Walk Ambassador is to assist Breakthrough T1D in educating the community about what it is like living with type 1 diabetes (TID). Each will be trained to effectively communicate Breakthrough T1D’s mission, to find a cure for T1D and its complications through the support of research.

The Walk Ambassador program gives Breakthrough T1D the ability to make our message distinctive, memorable and meaningful. After all, finding a cure for you is what we are all about. We have found the most effective messengers to share the story of TID are the young people who are living with this every day. Last year, our Walk Ambassadors found the program to be easy and fun. They learned a great deal and found new friendships with each other. If the child in your life is interested in representing Breakthrough T1D as a 2013 Walk Ambassador, please fill out this application. Contact Simone Price at 415-597-6319 or sprice@BreakthroughT1D.org with any questions. We look forward to working with you in our quest to find a cure!
