European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) Highlights Breakthrough T1D

The annual meeting of the European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) was held in Madrid, Spain last month. The event was attended by researchers, clinicians, pharmaceutical and device companies, regulators and leaders from more than 120 countries. The meeting showcased numerous studies presented by Breakthrough T1D-funded researchers whose work focuses on curing type 1 diabetes (T1D) and improving the lives of individuals living with the disease. Read the highlights.

Impact & Incentives: Join the 2024 Breakthrough T1D Walk, NorCal in Silicon Valley, San Francisco, and Sacramento

Breakthrough T1D Walk, NorCal, Silicon Valley—Sunday, October 13, California’s Great America, Santa Clara, CA.

• Every participant of the Silicon Valley Walk who raises $100 will receive a ticket to California’s Great America to enjoy the park after the Walk. Teams that raise $2,500 or more by October 7 will earn 10 extra tickets!

• Starting TODAY, October 4, The Jenny Johnson Family Foundation is sponsoring a $10,000 giving challenge to inspire our San Francisco walkers to double their impact. Every dollar raised will be matched for this Walk event, up to $10,000!
• Every participant of the San Francisco Walk will get to walk on the field at Oracle Park as part of the festivities!

• Every participant of all three Walks who raises $100 will receive an official Breakthrough T1D Walk participant shirt. Once you’ve hit this milestone, your t-shirt will be mailed directly to the address listed at registration.
